This guide has been updated and maintained based on my own experiences as well as Dungeon Journal and combat log information. I'll continue to update it as-needed.
Bosses
Below are guides for the bosses in Ahn'kahet: The Old Kingdom, including their abilities, healer notes, and addon settings.
Elder Nadox
- Dispel Brood Plague (disease) to remove the light damage over time effect.
- Soothe Brood Rage from nearby Ahn'kahar Swarmers to remove the increased damage dealt and increased maximum health effect.
- An Ahn'kahar Guardian periodically spawns.
- Ahn'kahar Guardian
- Dispel Deadly Poison (poison) to remove the light damage over time effect.
- Makes all other enemies immune to damage with Guardian Aura.
- Increases its movement speed with Sprint.
- Ahn'kahar Guardian
- A large amount of Ahn'kahar Swarmers periodically spawn.
Healing Notes
- Use cooldowns as-needed while Ahn'kahar Guardians are active, as it may be impossible for the tank to gain threat on enemies.
Debuffs to Track
- Minor: Brood Plague (dispel, disease), Deadly Poison (poison)
- Enrages to Soothe: Brood Rage
Addons
Prince Taldaram
- The tank will be dealing with Bloodthirst, during which they should use avoidance abilities if possible to prevent the healing.
- During Conjure Flame Sphere, avoid the 18-yard wide path of the sphere as much as possible as it travels in a straight line from the boss.
- On Heroic, three spheres spawn in a triangular configuration, meaning players will likely take light to moderate damage no matter what.
- Vanishes before targeting a random player with Embrace of the Vampyr, stunning them, dealing moderate damage over time, and making them immune to healing until the effect expires or Taldaram sustains enough damage.
Healing Notes
- Use external defensive abilities on the player targeted by Embrace of the Vampyr as they cannot be healed.
- Use cooldowns as-needed during Conjure Flame Sphere.

- Major: Embrace of the Vampyr
Addons
Jedoga Shadowseeker
- The tank will be dealing with Lightning Bolt.
- Stay more than 6-yards away to avoid Cyclone Strike.
- Avoid the location of Thundershock.
- At 50% health, Jedoga floats into the air, becoming immune to damage.
- A Twilight Volunteer from the groups nearby attempts to reach her. If it reaches the circle below her before being killed, she gains Gift of the Herald, healing and increasing damage dealt based on the Twilight Volunteer's remaining health.
Healing Notes
- If possible, help damage the Twilight Volunteer to ensure it's killed before reaching Jedoga.
Debuffs to Track
- There are no particular debuffs to track.
Addons
Amanitar
Available on Heroic only.
- The tank will be dealing with extra damage from Bash.
- Stay more than 5-yards away from Poisonous Mushrooms to avoid Poison Cloud (dispel, poison).
- When affected by Mini, stand within 4-yards of a Healthy Mushroom before killing it to remove the decreased damage dealt effect.
- Killing a Healthy Mushroom removes Mini from all players within 4-yards and grants them Potent Fungus, greatly increasing damage dealt.
- Dispel Entangling Roots (magic) to remove the light damage over time and root effect.
- Deals light damage to all players with Venom Bolt Volley.
Healing Notes
- Use cooldowns as-needed to deal with Venom Bolt Volley and Poison Cloud (dispel, poison)
Debuffs to Track
- Minor: Entangling Roots (dispel, magic), Poison Cloud (dispel, poison)
Addons
Herald Volazj
- The tank will be dealing with Mind Flay.
- Dispel Shiver (curse) to prevent the additional damage dealt.
- Deals light damage to all players with Shadow Bolt Volley.
- During Insanity:
- Players must kill their group member's hostile clones.
- When one player kills all their clones, they'll join another member of the group who hasn't killed their clones.
- When all player's clones are killed, the fight continues as before.
Healing Notes
- Use cooldowns as-needed before Insanity to ensure players begin with full health.

Below are notes for the trash mobs in Ahn'kahet: The Old Kingdom. Ahn'kahet: The Old Kingdom has a relatively linear layout. The trash below is listed as if you're completing the bosses in the order they're listed above.
Entrance thru Krik'thir
- Ahn'kahar Watcher
- The tank will be dealing with extra damage from Triple Slash.
- Don't stand in front to avoid Cleave.
- Soothe Enrage to remove the increased attack speed effect.
- Deep Crawler
- The tank will be dealing with extra damage from Combined Toxins.
- Dispel Glutinous Poison (poison) to remove the increased resource cost effect.
- Dispel Fatal Sting (poison) to remove the moderate damage over time effect.
- Ahn'kahar Slasher
- The tank will be dealing with extra damage from Triple Slash.
- Don't stand in front to avoid Cleave.
- Soothe Enrage to remove the increased attack speed effect.
- Ahn'kahar Web Winder
- When possible, stay more than 25-yards away to avoid the root effect from Tangled Webs.
- Deals light damage to all players, pulling them into melee range and rooting them with Web Grab.
- Ahn'kahar Spell Flinger
- Interrupt Shadow Blast to prevent the critical damage dealt to a random player.
- Deals light damage to all players with Shadow Sickle.
- Ahn'kahar Swarmer
- Plague Walker
- Dispel Contagion of Rot (disease) to remove the reduced attack and casting speed effect.
- Gradually applies stacks of Aura of Lost Hope to all players, reducing maximum health.
Krik'thir thru Taldaram
- Plundering Geist
- Heal on melee attacks with Plunder Health.
- Frostbringer
- Interrupt Frostbolt to prevent the light damage dealt to the tank.
- Stay more than 10-yards away to avoid Frost Nova (dispel, magic).
- Purge Icy Winds to prevent the reduced movement and casting speed effect on players within 5-yards.
- Eye of Taldaram
- Dispel Eyes in the Dark (magic) to remove the chance of spell casts being interrupted effect.
- Stay more than 10-yards away to avoid Shadowfury.
- Interrupts and silences random players with Dark Counterspell.
- Bonegrinder
- Stay more than 10-yards away to avoid Intimidating Shout.
- When possible, stay more than 20-yards away to avoid Trample.
- Soothe Enrage to remove in increased attack speed and physical damage dealt effect.
- Knocks all players back with Stomp.
Taldaram thru Jedoga
- Twilight Darkcaster
- Interrupt Shadow Bolt to prevent the light damage dealt to the tank.
- Dispel Curse of Tongues (curse) to remove the reduced cast speed effect.
- Dispel Corruption (magic) to remove the light damage over time effect.
- Twilight Apostle
- Interrupt Healing Wave to prevent the healing.
- Purge Bloodlust to remove the increased attack speed effect.
- Purge Lightning Shield to remove the damage dealt to melee attackers effect.
- Twilight Worshipper
- The tank will be dealing with Fireball.
- Interrupt or avoid the impact location of Flamestrike.
- Bound Air Elemental
- Don't stand in front to avoid Forked Lightning.
- When possible, interrupt Lightning Bolt to prevent the light damage dealt to the tank.
- Bound Fire Elemental
- Bound Water Elemental
- Don't stand in front to avoid Water Spout.
- When possible, interrupt Water Bolt to prevent the light damage dealt to the tank.
- Twilight Initiate
- Deals light melee damage, but usually comes in large groups.
Jedoga thru Amanitar
- Savage Cave Beast
- The tank will be dealing with the knock back from Uppercut.
- Avoid the location of Poison Cloud.
- Soothe Enrage to remove the increased attack speed and physical damage dealt.
Amanitar thru Herald Volazj
- Forgotten One
- Stay more than 10-yards away to avoid Shadow Nova and Psychic Scream (dispel, magic).
- Avoid the impact location of Shadow Crash.
