Antoran High Command
Updated 5 years, 4 months ago for patch 7.3.5 by Preston. View the change log.
This page covers a healer-focused strategy for the Antoran High Command in Antorus, the Burning Throne. While it's tailored for healers, other roles may also find the information useful. If you have any suggestions or feedback, you can leave a comment below or tweet @PrestonDvorak.
This guide has been updated and maintained based on my own experiences with the fight as well as Dungeon Journal information. I'll continue to update it as-needed.
General Mechanics and Abilities
Normal and Heroic
This is a council style fight during which you'll be fighting the Antoran High Command face to face and inside command pods. Each boss has different abilities based on whether or not they're inside a command pod.
- Only one boss is outside of the pods at a time, all bosses share health.
- A player may enter the unoccupied pod to control it.
Players Inside Command Pods
- While inside a pod, the player takes increasing damage over time from Psychic Assault.
- Depending on what raid frames you use, you may need to enable displaying of pets to see players inside the pods.
- On Heroic, players are unable to re-enter a pod while the Psychic Scarring debuff is on them.
- The pods also have the following usable abilities.
- All Pods: Chaos Pulse should be used as much as possible to maintain the 15% increased damage taken on current boss outside the pods.
- Admiral's Pod: Withering Fire deals heavy damage to demon adds in the arena and increases their damage taken by 25%.
- This should be used after Summon Reinforcements to help kill the adds faster.
- Engineer's Pod: Felshield Emitter places a shield device at the targeted location which can then be activated to create a shield that blocks 50% of fire damage.
- This should be used on cooldown to place Emitters in preparation for Fusillade.
- Where you place them will depend on how your group is moving around the room.
- General's Pod: Summon Disruptor Beacon places a beacon that interrupts enemy spell casts, destroys Entropic Mines, and slows enemy's movement speed.
- This should primarily be used to help clear Entropic Mines.
Bosses In Command Pods
Admiral Svirax
- Stand inside a Felshield Emitter when Fusillade is cast. This deals heavy damage to anyone outside the shield.
- Each time this is cast, Svirax gains a stack of Zeroing In, increasing the damage Fusillade deals.
Chief Engineer Ishkar
- Avoid the three mines created by Entropic Mine.
- Coming within range of a mine triggers Entropic Blast, dealing heavy damage to the player that triggered it and applying a stacking damage over time effect to the group.
- Felblade Shocktroopers and Fanatical Pyromancers can also trigger the mines.
General Erodus
- Summon Reinforcements brings several adds into the fight.
- Legion Pyromancer
- Their Pyroblast cast must be interrupted as it will kill most players if allowed to go through.
- Felblade Shocktroopers
- Demonic Charge charges one of the three players furthest away, slowing their movement speed.
- Immediately after Demonic Charge, avoid their Bladestorm.
- Demonic Charge charges one of the three players furthest away, slowing their movement speed.
- Legion Pyromancer
Bosses Out of Command Pods
Shared Abilities
- Assume Command removes any player from the boss's pod and takes over control.
- The tanks will be dealing with Exploit Weakness.
- Don't in front of the active boss to avoid the frontal cone.
Mythic Differences
Players Inside Command Pods
- Psychic Scarring now persists through the entire fight.
- Screaming Skrikes will spawn periodically and attempt to remove players from pods with Extract Interloper.
- To kill these, players in the pods can now use Defensive Countermeasures.
Bosses In Command Pods
Chief Engineer Ishkar
- Entropic Mine now creates four mines.
Bosses Out of Command Pods
Shared Abilities
- When affected by Shock Grenade, move at least 8-yards away from other players before it expires
Healing Notes
Quick Notes, All Difficulties
The notes below mostly pertain to progression difficulty, meaning if you out-gear the difficulty you're on or use extra healers they may not apply.
- Depending on what raid frames you use, you may need to enable displaying of pets to see players inside Command Pods.
- Use Major Cooldowns on
- Combinations of Fusillade, three or more Entropic Blast stacks, and Demonic Charges inside the Felshield Emitter area.
- When exactly this combination happens is going to vary for every group, and in an ideal situation it'll never happen.
- Three or more Entropic Blast stacks.
- Combinations of Fusillade, three or more Entropic Blast stacks, and Demonic Charges inside the Felshield Emitter area.
- Use Minor Cooldowns on
- Fusillade, particularly to get players to full health before the cast ends.
- Three or more Entropic Blast stacks.
- Pre-heal Before (mainly for heal over time classes)
- Fusillade
- Purposefully detonating more than two Entropic Mines at a time
- Leytorrent Potion use
- When no Felblade Shocktroopers are alive and Entropic Blast stacks are under control.
- On Mythic, use after Shock Grenades have gone out, in addition to the above criteria.
- When no Felblade Shocktroopers are alive and Entropic Blast stacks are under control.
- Other things to watch for
- Players inside Command Pods will need steadily increasing healing over time due to Psychic Assault.
Debuffs to Track
- Psychic Assault causes players to need additional healing.
