Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr, Healer Guide

This guide has been updated and maintained based on my own experiences as well as Dungeon Journal and combat log information. I'll continue to update it as-needed.
Bosses
Below are guides for the bosses in Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr, including their abilities, healer notes, and addon settings.
The Lost Dwarves
During this encounter, players will be fighting against the three dwarves at once.
- Baelog
- Don't stand in front to avoid Wild Cleave.
- Don't stand in front when he turns to cast Heavy Arrow.
- Eric "The Swift"
- Avoid the impact location of Skullcracker, targeted on a random player.
- Deals light damage to random players with Dagger Throw.
- Olaf
- Interrupt Defensive Bulwark to prevent the reduced damage taken effect on enemies inside the dome.
- Stay more than 5-yards away from other players to avoid chaining the damage from Ricocheting Shield.
- Shared Abilities
- At 100% Energy, about every 30-seconds, the dwarves begin a Longboat Raid! which lasts for about 15-seconds.
- Avoid the impact locations of Searing Cannonfire (dispel, magic) targeted at all players. Players hit take stacking moderate to heavy damage over time.
- When a dwarf reaches 10% health, they retreat to the longboat for the rest of the encounter, increasing its rate of fire with Hasty Rearming.
- At 100% Energy, about every 30-seconds, the dwarves begin a Longboat Raid! which lasts for about 15-seconds.
Mythic Differences
- During Longboat Raid!:
- Avoid the Burning Pitch patches left behind by Searing Cannonfire (dispel, magic).
- Frequently deals light damage to all players with Fiery Surge.
Mythic+ Affix Notes
High stacks are likely during Longboat Raid!.
Healing Notes
- Use cooldowns during Longboat Raid!.
Debuffs to Track
- Major: Searing Cannonfire (dispel, magic), Skullcracker
Addons
Bromach
- Stay more than 12-yards away to avoid Thundering Slam.
- Spawns lesser troggs every 40-seconds with Call of the Deep.
- Stonevault Ambusher
- Avoid the impact location of Ambush, targeted on a random player.
- Stonevault Geomancer
- Interrupt Chain Lightning to prevent the light damage dealt to up to three random players.
- When possible, interrupt Stone Spike to prevent the light damage dealt to a random player.
- Stonevault Ambusher
- Every 40-seconds, inbetween lesser trogg spawns, spawns a Quaking Totem.
- Quaking Totem
- Deals light damage over time to all players with Shocking Quake.
- Upon death, Stuns all troggs and greatly increases their damage taken with Tremor.
- This Stun can be used to interrupt Bloodlust, noted below.
- Quaking Totem
- Increases the Attack Speed of all enemies with Bloodlust.
- The cast can be interrupted by the Stun effect from killing a Quaking Totem, noted above.
Mythic Differences
- Tremor now only affects troggs within 8-yards of the Quaking Totem.
Mythic+ Affix Notes
Healing Notes
- Use cooldowns while Quaking Totems are active.
Debuffs to Track
- There are no particular debuffs to track.
Addons
Sentinel Talondras
- Begins the encounter with two stacks of Inexorable, granting immunity to two Stun effects from Resonating Orb, detailed below.
- Attempts to charge the Ancient Dynamo, generating Energy over time.
- At 100% Energy (which takes about 25-seconds to reach), gains Titanic Empowerment, greatly increasing damage dealt.
- Must be Stunned with Resonating Orb, detailed below, to drain all her Energy.
- After being successfully Stunned, gains two stacks of Inexorable again.
- Every 25-seconds, if targeted by Resonating Orb:
- Move near the boss with the other affected players, or to a pre-designated area, to drop the resulting Resonating Orbs.
- Resonating Orb
- Stuns any player or enemy they touch with Resonating Orb.
- The tank should maneuver Talondras into these to remove stacks of Inexorable and eventually Stun her to drain her Energy.
- Resonating Orb
- Move near the boss with the other affected players, or to a pre-designated area, to drop the resulting Resonating Orbs.
- Every 12-seconds, deals moderate damage to all players and knocks them back with Crushing Stomp.
- Deals light damage and then light damage over time to random players with Earthen Shards.
Mythic Differences
- When Stunned by Resonating Orb or after gaining Titanic Empowerment, gains a stack of Unrelenting, increasing damage dealt for the remainder of the encounter.
Mythic+ Affix Notes
Reonating Orbs can cause additional orbs to spawn.
Earthen Shards can cause high stacks on affected players.
Several affixes can make navigating the Resonating Orbs more difficult.
Healing Notes
- Use cooldowns as-needed to deal with Crushing Stomp and Earthen Shards.
Debuffs to Track
- Major: Resonating Orb, Resonating Orb
- Minor: Earthen Shards
Addons
Emberon
- Vault Keepers are present along the edges of the room.
- Vault Keeper
- Immune to damage until Purging Flames, noted below.
- Avoid the path of Seeking Flame orbs targeted towards random player's positions.
- Vault Keeper
- Emberon
- Don't stand in front to avoid Searing Clap.
- This deals light damage over time to all players with Burning Heat (dispel, magic), regardless of where they are.
- When affected by Unstable Embers, move more than 7-yards away from other players to avoid chaining the damage dealt.
- Every 40-seconds, moves to the center of the room and casts Purging Flames.
- Becomes immune to damage due to Sacred Barrier.
- Players who enter the large barrier take heavy damage over time from Heat Engine.
- Four Vault Keepers channel Infusion on Emberon and must be killed to end Purging Flames.
- Avoid the large Purging Flames beams as they rotate around Emberon. Players hit take critical damage over time from Purging Flames.
- Deals light damage over time to all players with Fire Wave.
- Becomes immune to damage due to Sacred Barrier.
- Don't stand in front to avoid Searing Clap.
Mythic Differences
- Unstable Embers affects all players at the same time.
Mythic+ Affix Notes
Healing Notes
- Use cooldowns on Purging Flames.
- Minor cooldowns may be needed to deal with Burning Heat (dispel, magic) and Unstable Embers.
Debuffs to Track
- Major: Unstable Embers, Heat Engine, Purging Flames
- Minor: Burning Heat (dispel, magic)
Addons
Chrono-Lord Deios
- Don't stand in front to avoid Sand Breath.
- With greater than 0% Energy (lasts for about 30-seconds):
- Avoid the impact locations of Eternity Orb and the expanding Eternity Zones left behind.
- Players in Eternity Zones take moderate damage over time and have their Haste greatly reduced.
- Deals moderate damage to all players and knocks them back with Wing Buffet.
- Avoid the impact locations of Eternity Orb and the expanding Eternity Zones left behind.
- At 0% Energy (lasts for about 15-seconds):
- Regenerates back to 100% Energy with Rewind Timeflow, dealing light damage over time to all players.
- As Temporal Orbs rewind, players should stand inside Temporal Zones left behind to gain greatly increased Haste.
Mythic Differences
- When affected by Time Sink (dispel, magic), move more than 8-yards away from other players before the effect is dispelled or expires to avoid chaining the damage from Time Eruption.
Mythic+ Affix Notes
Persistent damage will make catching up on stacks difficult.
Several affixes can make staying in Temporal Zones difficult.
Healing Notes
- Damage is pretty persistent throughout the encounter.
- Use cooldowns as-needed while Deios has more than 0% Energy. Ideally Temporal Zones will make cooldowns less necessary at 0% Energy.

Trash Mobs
Below are notes for the trash mobs in Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr. Uldaman has a relatively linear layout, and trash mobs are ordered as if you're completing bosses as they're listed above.
Entrance thru The Lost Dwarves
- Scavenging Leaper
- Stay more than 4-yards away from other players to avoid chaining the damage from Ambush.
- Stonevault Geomancer
- Interrupt Chain Lightning to prevent the light damage dealt to up to three random players.
- When possible, interrupt Stone Spike to prevent the light damage dealt to the tank.
Can be difficult to move due to their preference for casting spells.
- Hulking Berserker
- Stay more than 7-yards away from the tank to avoid Brutal Slam.
- The tank will be dealing with extra damage and the reduced movement speed effect from Diseased Bite (dispel, disease).
- Soothe Reckless Rage to remove the increased damage dealt effect.
- This also increases damage taken, so it may be beneficial to leave it if the extra damage is manageable.
Should be killed first or otherwise prevented from gaining excessive stacks.
Soothe immediately.
- Vicious Basilisk
- The tank will be dealing with extra moderate damage and light damage over time from Chomp.
- Interrupt or purge Spiked Carapace to prevent the light damage over time dealt to all players.
Soothe immediately.
The Lost Dwarves thru Bromach
- This area includes Scavenging Leapers, Stonevault Geomancers, Hulking Berserkers, and Vicious Basilisks, detailed above.
- Burly Rock-Thrower
- Avoid the impact location of Throw Rock.
Can be difficult to move due to their preference for casting spells.
Bromach thru Sentinel Talondras
- Earthen Custodian
- The tank will be dealing with extra light damage and light damage over time from Rending Slash.
- Don't stand in front to avoid Cleave.
- Refti Custodian
- The tank will be dealing with extra light damage and light damage over time from Jagged Bite.
- Continually gains stacks of Ancient Power, increasing Haste and damage dealt.
- Earthen Weaver
- Stun to interrupt Hail of Stone to prevent the light damage dealt to all players.
- When possible, interrupt Stone Bolt to prevent the light damage dealt to the tank.
Can be difficult to move due to their preference for casting spells.
Sentinel Talondras thru Emberon
- This area includes Earthen Custodians, and Earthen Weavers, detailed above.
- Earthen Warder
- Interrupt or purge Earthen Ward to prevent the damage absorption effect.
- Dispel Curse of Stone (curse) to prevent the eventual Stun effect from Trapped in Stone (dispel, curse).
- If no dispel is available, stay more than 6-yards away from the player affected by Trapped in Stone (dispel, curse).
- When possible, interrupt Stone Bolt to prevent the light damage dealt to the tank.
- Avoid the impact location of Stone Eruption.
Can be difficult to move due to their preference for casting spells.
- Runic Protector
- Following Fissuring Slam, avoid the Difficult Terrain patches.
- Deals light damage to all players with Earthquake.
- Skittering Crawler
- Dispel Venomous Fangs (poison) to remove the light damage over time effect.
- Deals light damage to random players with Pounce.
- Cavern Seeker
- Stay more than 10-yards away to avoid the Silence effect from Sonic Burst.
Emberon thru Chrono-Lord Deios
- This area includes Earthen Custodians, and Earthen Weavers, and Earthen Warders, detailed above.
- Ebonstone Golem
- Deals moderate damage to all players with Thunderous Clap.
Soothe immediately.
- Earthen Guardian
- The tank will be dealing with extra damage from Bulwark Slam.
- During Blessing of Tyr:
- Stay more than 20-yards away to avoid the light damage over time from Scorn of Tyr.
- Enemies within 20-yards gain Blessing of Tyr, increasing damage dealt.
Should be killed first or otherwise prevented from gaining excessive stacks.
Soothe immediately.
Will not move while channeling Blessing of Tyr.
- Infinite Agent
- The tank will be dealing with extra damage and the reduced movement speed effect from Time Blade.
- Interrupt or purge Hasten to prevent the increased Haste effect.
- Infinite Timereaver
- Dispel Stolen Time (magic) or purge Stolen Time to remove the light damage over time and reduced Haste effect on the player, and the increased Haste effect on the Timereaver.
Should be killed first or otherwise prevented from gaining excessive stacks.
- Infinite Whelp
- The tank will be dealing with light melee damage.

- Magic Dispel: Stolen Time (dispel, magic)
- Curse Dispel: Curse of Stone (dispel, curse), Trapped in Stone (dispel, curse)

- Poison Dispel: Venomous Fangs (dispel, poison)
