The Four Horsemen, Healer Guide

This guide has been updated and maintained based on my own experiences with the encounter, logs information, and Dungeon Journal information. I'll continue to update it as-needed.

General Mechanics and Abilities

  • This encounter revolves around players managing the different Mark stacks each boss applies. In general, 5-6 stacks of a Mark should be safe before needing to move on to a different boss.
  • Each boss is tanked in its own corner of the room, ensuring the 65-yard range of Mark applications don't overlap.
  • Shared Abilities
    • At 50% and 20% health, Shield Wall greatly reduces damage taken for 20-seconds.
    • Upon death, a Spirit of the boss is left behind at the corpse's location, continuing the cast the boss' abilities.
    • After casting 100 Marks (~20-minutes), non-Mark abilities no longer have a cooldown and are used continuously.
  • Highlord Mograine
    • Applies Mark of Mograine to all players within 65-yards every 12-seconds, dealing increasing damage with each stack.
    • The tank will be dealing with stacks of Righteous Fire, dealing increasing light to moderate damage over time.
  • Lady Blaumeux
    • Applies Mark of Blaumeux to all players within 65-yards every 12-seconds, dealing increasing damage with each stack.
    • Avoid the locations of Void Zone, players inside a Zone take moderate damage over time from Consumption until moving out.
  • Sir Zeliek
    • Applies Mark of Zeliek to all players within 65-yards every 12-seconds, dealing increasing damage with each stack.
    • Stay more than 10-yards away from other players to avoid chaining Holy Wrath.
  • Thane Korth'azz
    • Applies Mark of Korth'azz to all players within 65-yards every 12-seconds, dealing increasing damage with each stack.
    • Stay within 8-yards of as many players as possible to split the damage dealt by Meteor.

Season of Mastery Differences

  • Currently, I'm not aware of any mechanical differences.
  • There are new quests offered by Archmage Tarsis Kir-Moldir just inside Naxxramas, and it was suggested that these could lead to surprises that "have a significant impact" inside and outside Naxxramas.

Resistance Levels

  • Players generally won't make use of additional resistances on this encounter.

Healing Notes

The notes below mostly pertain to progression difficulty, meaning if you out-gear the difficulty you're on or use extra healers they may not apply.

  • Healers will likely be spread out to heal each of the tanks, reducing the overall healing available to the rest of the players. Thankfully, as long as Mark stacks are managed, the healing required on non-tanks will be low and predictable.
