Stormwind Stockade, Healer Guide
Updated 3 years, 10 months ago for patch 1.13 by Preston. View the change log.
This page covers healer-focused strategies for the Stormwind Stockade dungeon. While it's tailored for healers, other roles may also find the information useful. If you have any suggestions or feedback, you can leave a comment below or tweet @PrestonDvorak.
This guide has been updated and maintained based on my own experiences as well as Dungeon Journal information. I'll continue to update it as-needed.
Best for players level 22-30.
Bosses
Below are guides for the bosses in Stormwind Stockade, including their abilities, healer notes, and addon settings.
Targorr the Dread
- Targorr usually pulls with a trash mob or two, be prepared to crowd-control or kill them.
- Deals increased base damage due to Dual Wield.
- Periodically attacks three times using Thrash.
- Periodically Enrages, increasing haste and damage dealt.
Healing Notes
- This can be an incredibly high damage encounter for the tank, be prepared to heal them quickly.
Debuffs to Track
- Enrages to Dispel: Enrage
Kam Deepfury
- Kam usually pulls with a trash mob or two, be prepared to crowd-control or kill them.
- Increases block chance using Improved Blocking.
- Stuns a random player in melee range using Shield Slam.
- If the tank is stunned, be prepared for the player with the next highest threat to take damage.
Healing Notes
- This can potentially be a longer encounter if you have a lot of physical damage dealers, due to the boss' higher than average armor and Improved Blocking.
Debuffs to Track
- Major: Shield Slam
Hamhock
- Hamhock usually pulls with a trash mob or two, be prepared to crowd-control or kill them.
- Purge Bloodlust to prevent the increased haste.
- Interrupt Chain Lightning to prevent the damage to three players.
Healing Notes
- This fight can get overwhelming if you don't have a way to purge Bloodlust, as the Chain Lightning casts will happen more quickly.
Debuffs to Track
- Buffs to Purge: Bloodlust
Bazil Thredd
- Deals increased base damage due to Dual Wield.
- Stuns nearby players with Smoke Bomb (dispel, magic).
Healing Notes
- The tank should have priority dispel with Smoke Bomb (dispel, magic).
Debuffs to Track
- Major: Smoke Bomb (dispel, magic)
Dextren Ward
- Stay at least 10-yards away to avoid being Feared by Intimidating Shout.
- Be aware of the tanks and melee DPS players being feared into other enemies nearby.
Healing Notes
- This encounter can be made difficult by players being Feared into other enemies, but if you've cleared out the area it shouldn't be too bad.
Debuffs to Track
- There are no particular debuffs to track.
Trash Mobs
Below are notes for the trash mobs in Stormwind Stockade. Stormwind Stockade has a relatively linear layout. The trash below is ordered as if you're completing the bosses in the order they're listed above.
Trash information will be added once I can find something reliable, or when I'm able to run the dungeon when Classic is live.
