Razorfen Downs, Healer Guide
Updated 3 years, 9 months ago for patch 1.13 by Preston. View the change log.
This page covers healer-focused strategies for the Razorfen Downs dungeon. While it's tailored for healers, other roles may also find the information useful. If you have any suggestions or feedback, you can leave a comment below or tweet @PrestonDvorak.
This guide has been updated and maintained based on my own experiences as well as Dungeon Journal information. I'll continue to update it as-needed.
Best for players level 40-45.
Bosses
Below are guides for the bosses in Razorfen Downs, including their abilities, healer notes, and addon settings.
Tuten'kash
Tuten'kash spawns after clicking the spider gong three times total and defeating the two waves of spiders before it.
- Dispel Curse of Tuten'kash (curse) to remove the reduced casting and attack speed effect.
- Dispel Virulent Poison (poison) to prevent the light damage over time.
- Don't stand in front of the boss to avoid Web Spray
Healing Notes
- This is a straightforward fight with the hardest part being keeping Curse of Tuten'kash (dispel, curse) under control if you have a Curse dispel.
Debuffs to Track
- Major: Curse of Tuten'kash (dispel, curse)
- Minor: Virulent Poison (dispel, poison)
Mordresh Fire Eye
- Accompanied by several non-elite skeletons.
- Interrupt Fireball to prevent the damage on the tank.
- Stay at least 10-yards away to avoid the damage from Fire Nova.
Healing Notes
- Not a particular difficult fight with little chance for anything to go wrong.
Debuffs to Track
- There are no particular debuffs to track.
Glutton
- Stay at least 10-yards away to avoid Disease Cloud.

Ragglesnout
This is a rare enemy and may not always be present.
- Dispel Shadow Word: Pain (magic) to prevent the damage over time.
- Interrupt Heal to prevent the healing.
- Purge Dominate Mind to remove the mind-control effect.
- If no Purge is available, damage the affected player to break the effect.
Healing Notes
- Dominate Mind makes this fight unpredictable, especially if no Purge is available.
Debuffs to Track
- Minor: Shadow Word: Pain (dispel, magic)
Amnennar the Coldbringer
- The tank will be dealing with Amnennar's Wrath.
- Summons Frost Spectres throughout the encounter.
- Interrupt Frostbolt to prevent the damage to the tank.
- Stay at least 10-yards away to avoid Frost Nova (dispel, magic).
Healing Notes
- The most difficult part of this fight is the tank positioning so they don't get knocked off the edge by Amnennar's Wrath.
Debuffs to Track
- Minor: Frost Nova (dispel, magic)
Plaguemaw the Rotting
An optional boss that spawns as part of an escort event. I'll add more details as soon as possible.
- Dispel Withered Touch (disease) to prevent the damage over time and mana drain effects.
- Stay at least 10-yards away to avoid the silence effect from Putrid Stench (dispel, disease).
Healing Notes
- This fight will be slightly more difficult if you don't have a Disease dispel available, but other than that it's pretty straightforward.
Debuffs to Track
- Major: Withered Touch (dispel, disease)
- Minor: Putrid Stench (dispel, disease)
