The Queen's Court, Healer Guide
Updated 3 years, 10 months ago for patch 8.2.5 by Preston. View the change log.
This page covers a healer-focused strategy for The Queen's Court in The Eternal Palace. While it's tailored for healers, other roles may also find the information useful. If you have any suggestions or feedback, you can leave a comment below or tweet @PrestonDvorak.
This guide has been updated and maintained based on my own experiences with the encounter, logs information, and Dungeon Journal information. I'll continue to update it as-needed.
General Mechanics and Abilities
Normal and Heroic
During this encounter players will be fighting against Queen Azshara's council as she issues decrees from the sidelines.
- Silivaz and Pashmar must be killed at the same time to prevent the healing from Desperate Measures.
- Silivaz and Pashmar must be kept at least 21-yards apart to prevent the immunity from Separation of Power
- Queen Azshara's Decrees
- Throughout the fight, Queen Azshara changes rules players must abide by.
- Form Ranks requires players to fill designated positions in the area every 10-seconds.
- Each position not filled after 5-seconds deals moderate damage to all players.
- Repeat Performance pacifies any player that uses the same spell twice in a row.
- Stand Alone requires players to stay away from each other, going near another player deals light damage the the triggering players.
- Deferred Sentence causes stacks to build while standing still. While moving, damage is dealt over time based on the number of stacks.
- When the decree ends, a burst of damage is dealt based on the final number of stacks.
- Obey or Suffer applies Suffering to any player that takes damage, making them immune to healing for 5-seconds.
- Silivaz the Zealous
- The tanks will be dealing with Commander's Fury.
- When targeted by Frenetic Charge, move away from the group to drop the resulting Mighty Rupture.
- If not targeted, stand within 8-yards of the affected player to help mitigate the damage dealt.
- During Zealous Eruption, stand near Silivaz to avoid the geysers.
- Pashmar the Fanatical
- The tanks will be dealing with Pashmar's Touch, which will force a tank switch.
- At 10-stacks, the affected tank is mind-controlled by Fanatical Zeal.
- When targeted by Fanatical Verdict, move at least 5-yards away from other players.
- Targets random players with Fervent Bolt.
- During Violent Outburst, move as far away from Pashmar as possible to reduce damage taken.
- Potent Spark summons several Potent Sparks that must be killed in a controlled manner to prevent them from dying at the same time.
- When a Potent Spark dies, it deals heavy damage to all players and increases damage taken from subsequent Potent Spark deaths for 5-seconds.
- The tanks will be dealing with Pashmar's Touch, which will force a tank switch.
Mythic Differences
- Queen Azshara's Decrees
- Sphere of Influence causes Decrees to deal damage over time. It also increases their duration or damage dealt.
Healing Notes
Quick Notes, All Difficulties
The notes below mostly pertain to progression difficulty, meaning if you out-gear the difficulty you're on or use extra healers they may not apply.
- Use Major Cooldowns on
- when Potent Sparks are being killed
- Use Minor Cooldowns
- Violent Outburst
- as-needed if Azshara's Decrees get out of hand
- Pre-heal Before (mainly for heal over time classes)
- Potent Sparks are killed
- Potion of Replenishment use
- during Zealous Eruption is likely the best option, depending on which Decree is active
- Other things to watch for
- Be aware of Repeat Performance to avoid silencing yourself.
- Players affected by Suffering may need an external defensive cooldown to survive.
Debuffs to Track
Major
- Suffering makes players immune to healing.
Minor
- Fanatical Verdict causes players to need additional healing.
DBM Settings
Below are the DBM settings I'll be using for The Queen's Court. You can set them up however you'd like, but these ones should work well as a starting point. Some settings may be Mythic only.
