Orgozoa, Healer Guide
Updated 3 years, 10 months ago for patch 8.2.5 by Preston. View the change log.
This page covers a healer-focused strategy for Orgozoa in The Eternal Palace. While it's tailored for healers, other roles may also find the information useful. If you have any suggestions or feedback, you can leave a comment below or tweet @PrestonDvorak.
This guide has been updated and maintained based on my own experiences with the encounter, logs information, and Dungeon Journal information. I'll continue to update it as-needed.
General Mechanics and Abilities
Normal and Heroic
This is a multi-stage encounter, during which players will be fighting against Orgozoa and its horrors.
Stage One - Egg Chamber
This stage begins the encounter and ends when the third set of Zoatroid adds spawns.
- Orgozoa
- The tanks will be dealing with Desensitizing Sting, each stack reduces the damage they take.
- At 10-stacks, Heart-Stopping Paralysis instantly kills the affected tank, so this will force a tank switch before then.
- Avoid the impact locations of Dribbling Ichor.
- Targets random players with a stack of Incubation Fluid, dealing damage over time.
- When affected by Incubation Fluid, stay away from other players to avoid chaining Arcing Current as much as possible.
- Chaotic Growth apples a stacking damage dealt and reduced damage taken buff on enemies within 15-yards of the boss.
- The tanks will be dealing with Desensitizing Sting, each stack reduces the damage they take.
- Zoatroid, spawn in sets of three
- Pervasive Shock deals light damage to all players.
- Upon death, the impact location of Amniotic Splatter will need to be soaked by a tank with high stacks of Desensitizing Sting or another player with a high damage mitigation personal cooldown or an immunity.
- Failure to soak the impact will trigger Amniotic Eruption, dealing fatal damage to all players.
Intermission - The Moulting Hatchery
This intermission begins after the third set of Zoatroid adds spawn and ends when Massive Incubator is interrupted.
- All stacks of Incubation Fluid are reset.
- Players will be following Orgozoa through a gauntlet on the way to the Naga Chamber while also dealing with the new set of Zoatroids.
- Avoid the impact locations of Hatchery Moulting.
- Avoid Unstable Eggs, coming within 5-yards of one triggers an Eggsplosion.
- Interrupt Massive Incubator upon reaching the Naga Chamber.
Stage Two - Naga Chamber
This stage begins following the intermission and ends when Orgozoa is killed.
- Orgozoa
- Continues to use the same abilities as stage one.
- Zanj'ir Myrmidom
- The tanks will be dealing with Skewer.
- When targeted by Aqua Lance, move away from other players to drop the Raging Rapids pool.
- Azsh'ari
- Targets random players with Shocking Lightning, dealing moderate damage.
- Interrupt Conductive Pulse to prevent all players from being stunned.
- Dreadcoil Hulk
- When Powerful Stomp is cast, move within 14-yards of the Hulk to help split the damage.
- If no players are hit, speReverberating Tremor deals moderate damage to all players.
- When Powerful Stomp is cast, move within 14-yards of the Hulk to help split the damage.
Mythic Differences
Both Stages
- There is now a steady stream of Zoatroids joining the encounter.
Healing Notes
Quick Notes, All Difficulties
The notes below mostly pertain to progression difficulty, meaning if you out-gear the difficulty you're on or use extra healers they may not apply.
- Use Major Cooldowns
- near the end of stage one and stage two, when Incubation Fluid stacks are high
- Use Minor Cooldowns
- as-needed during the intermission
- as-needed to combat high Incubation Fluid stacks
- Pre-heal Before (mainly for heal over time classes)
- the intermission
- Powerful Stomp
- Potion of Replenishment use
- at the start of stage two, ideally before Massive Incubator is even interrupted
- Other things to watch for
- Tanks will be taking incredibly high damage before they gain a sufficient number of Desensitizing Sting stacks each time they take the boss.
Debuffs to Track
Minor
- Aqua Lance may cause players to need additional healing.
- (Optional) Incubation Fluid causes players to need additional healing, but will be on most players eventually, which may clutter raid frames.
DBM Settings
Below are the DBM settings I'll be using for Orgozoa. You can set them up however you'd like, but these ones should work well as a starting point. Some settings may be Mythic only.
