Abyssal Commander Sivara, Healer Guide

Updated 3 years, 10 months ago for patch 8.2.5 by Preston. View the change log.

Abyssal Commander Sivara Dungeon Journal ModelThis page covers a healer-focused strategy for Abyssal Commander Sivara in The Eternal Palace. While it's tailored for healers, other roles may also find the information useful. If you have any suggestions or feedback, you can leave a comment below or tweet @PrestonDvorak.

This guide has been updated and maintained based on my own experiences with the encounter, logs information, and Dungeon Journal information. I'll continue to update it as-needed.

General Mechanics and Abilities

Normal and Heroic

  • Chimeric Marks affects all players with either Frost Mark or Toxic Brand.
    •  Players must avoid other players with the opposite Mark as well as mechanics that deal the opposite damage type (e.g. frost must avoid nature damage).
      • Players failing to do this trigger an Unstable Mixture, dealing damage to all players over time and resetting Mark stacks on the player(s) that caused it.
    • Being hit by mechanics of the same element type as your Mark will apply another stack, increasing the potency of the Mark effect.
    • Players affected by Frost Mark will move 5% slower per stack.
      • On Heroic, affected players must constantly move to prevent being Frozen by Frozen Blood. This is indicated by the Extra Power Bar on the UI.
    • Players affected by Toxic Brand will take 5% less healing per stack.
      • On Heroic, affected players must avoid moving too much to prevent becoming Delirious from Venomous Blood. This is indicated by the Extra Power Bar on the UI.
  • The tanks will be dealing with Frostvenom Tipped.
  • When Crushing Reverberation is cast on the current tank, players with the same Mark as the tank must stack on the tank to help split the damage.
    • This also knocks back all players, whether they're splitting the damage or not.
  • At 100% Energy, Overwhelming Barrage causes bolts of either element type to shoot from Sivara.
    • Move to the side that corresponds to your Mark and attempt to dodge as many of the bolts as possible.
  • During Overflow:
  • Frostshock Bolts are targeted at random players and must be intercepted by players with the proper Mark.
    • The first player hit is stunned for 30-seconds and can be freed by another player clicking on the bolt holding them down.
    • Frost Bolt must be intercepted by players with Frost Mark.
    • Toxic Bolt must be intercepted by players with Toxic Brand.
  • Inversion switches some player's Chimeric Marks.

Below are the DBM settings I'll be using for Abyssal Commander Sivara. You can set them up however you'd like, but these ones should work well as a starting point. Some settings may be Mythic only.
