Warfront World Boss Guides

This page contains quick guides for the bosses that are active after your faction has won the Warfront Campaign. The guides are based on Dungeon Journal information and my own experiences with the fights. Information will be updated as-needed.

Ivus the Forest Lord
This encounter is located in the Darkshore warfront and available to Horde players while they control the warfront.
- Don't stand in front of the boss to avoid Frost Breath.
- Avoid the resulting Frost Patches.
- Avoid the impact locations of Hurl Boulder.
- Don't stand in front of the boss when it turns to cast Shockwave.
- Avoid the impact locations of Lunar Strike.
- Avoid the expanding Lunar Runes these leave behind.
- During Petrify the boss is immune to damage.
- Kill all Wisps to end the effect.
- These target random players with Ancient Spark.
- Kill all Wisps to end the effect.
DPS Notes
- Avoid the front of the boss and Frost Breath and Shockwave.
- Avoid Lunar Strike and Hurl Boulder locations.
- Kill all Wisps during Petrify.
Healer Notes
- Watch for players caught in Lunar Strike.
Tank Notes
- Face the boss away from the group to avoid damage from Frost Breath.
Ivus the Decayed
This encounter is located in the Darkshore warfront and available to Alliance players while they control the warfront.
- Don't stand in front of the boss to avoid Plague Breath.
- Avoid the resulting Plagued Bog patches.
- Avoid the impact locations of Hurl Blight.
- Don't stand in front of the boss when it turns to cast Shockwave.
- Avoid the Fungal Blooms.
- During Petrify the boss is immune to damage.
- Kill all Plaguelings to end the effect.
- These target random players with Devour
- Kill all Plaguelings to end the effect.
DPS Notes
- Avoid the front of the boss and Plague Breath and Shockwave.
- Avoid Fungal Bloom and Hurl Blight locations.
- Kill all Plaguelings during Petrify.
Healer Notes
- Watch for players caught in Fungal Bloom.
Tank Notes
- Face the boss away from the group to avoid damage from Plague Breath.
The Lion's Roar /
Doom's Howl
These encounters are located in the Arathi Highlands warfront. The Lion's Roar is available to Horde players while Doom's Howl is available for Alliance players. The encounters are only available while the faction controls the warfront.
Both encounters are nearly identical except for the names of the troops released during Stage Two.
Stage One - mobile battle vehicle
- Don't be in front of the boss to avoid Shattering Pulse, unless you're currently tanking.
- Avoid the impact locations of Mortar Shot.
- Move away from the boss when Flame Exhausts is cast to avoid taking damage.
Stage Two - sieged battle station
- Targets random players with Demolisher Cannon.
- Releases several troops from its carrying hold.
- Lion's Engineer / Doom's Howl Engineer
- Stay at least 8-yards away from other players to avoid extra damage from Concussion Grenade.
- Interrupt Battle Field Repair to prevent the healing.
- Lion's Shieldbearer / Doom's Howl Dreadshield
- Charges at random players with Reckless Charge.
- Move other enemies out of the Sentry dome.
- Lion's Warcaster / Doom's Howl Warcaster
- Targets random players with Fireball.
- Avoid the fire patches from Flamestrike.
- Lion's Engineer / Doom's Howl Engineer
DPS Notes
- Avoid the front of the boss and Shattering Pulse.
- Interrupt Battle Field Repair while adds are alive.
- Add kill order:
- Lion's Engineer / Doom's Howl Engineer
- Lion's Shieldbearer / Doom's Howl Dreadshield
- Lion's Warcaster / Doom's Howl Warcaster
Healer Notes
- Watch for players affected by Demolisher Cannon.
- Be prepared for an increase in random damage during Stage Two.
Tank Notes
- Face the boss away from the group to lessen damage from Shattering Pulse.
- Move the adds out of [!WcDb? &name=`Sentry` &id=`271783` &type=`spell`]] domes.
- Battle Field Repair while adds are alive.
