Bosses
Below are guides for the bosses in King's Rest, including their abilities, healer notes, and addon settings.
Sergeant Bainbridge / Chopper Redhook
Which boss you fight depends on whether you're Horde or Alliance. Horde fights Bainbridge, Alliance fights Redhook. The fights are identical but some abilities have different names.
- Movement speed is constantly reduced by Heavy Hitter.
- Avoid the impact locations of Cannon Barrage and the resulting (273716) .
- When affected by Iron Gaze/On the Hook, lead Bainbridge/Redhook over Heavy Ordnance before they detonate on their own.
- When affected by Hangman's Noose/Meat Hook, run into Bainbridge/Redhook and then run away to avoid Steel Tempest.
- Throughout the encounter, Kul Tiran forces will join the fight.
- Kul Tiran Vanguard
- Don't be in front of these to avoid Heavy Slash.
- Kul Tiran Marksman
- Targets random players with Molten Slug
- Kul Tiran Vanguard
Healing Notes
Debuffs to Track
- Major: Hangman's Noose (H) / Meat Hook (A)
- Minor: Iron Gaze (H) / On the Hook (A)
Addons
Dread Captain Lockwood
- Occasionally uses Evasion to vault away from players.
- Targets random players with Gut Shot when no one is in melee range.
- Avoid the impact location of Clear the Deck.
- At 100% energy, Lockwood Withdraws to her ship.
- Fire Unstable Ordnance dropped by Ashvane Cannonerrs at her ship to force her to return.
- Targets random players with Dread Volley.
- Summons several deckhands.
- Ashvane Deckhand
- Don't be in front of these to avoid Crimson Swipe.
- Ashvane Cannoneer
- Targets random players with Broadside, dealing damage to all players in the path.
- When killed, these leave behind Unstable Ordnance.
- Ashvane Deckhand
Healing Notes
- Use Cooldowns during the Withdraw phase, especially if it's taking awhile to get out of it.
- Watch for players caught in Clear the Deck as they'll take critical damage.
Debuffs to Track
- There are no particular debuffs that need to be tracked on this fight.
Addons
Hadal Darkfathom
- Avoid the Brine Pools left behind by Hadal's abilities.
- Don't be in front of the boss to avoid Crashing Tide.
- Avoid the impact locations of Break Water.
- At 100% energy, use the statue in the center of the room to avoid being hit by Tidal Surge as it moves across the room.
Healing Notes
- Be aware of players caught in Tidal Surge as they'll need extra healing.
Debuffs to Track
- There are no particular debuffs that need to be tracked on this fight.
Addons
Viq'goth
During this encounter, you'll be making your way through four platforms to release Kul Tiran Engineers.
- Several types of tentacles are present at each platform.
- Gripping Terrors
- Kill these to free Kul Tiran Engineers so they can repair the Cannons.
- Must be killed before moving on to the next platform.
- Demolishing Terrors
- If no players are in melee range, continuously casts Hull Cracker.
- Don't be in front of these to avoid Slam.
- Must be killed before moving on to the next platform.
- Constricting Tentacle
- Grabs players that have been in the water too long, dealing damage over time with Crushing Embrace.
- Should be killed if a player gets caught.
- Gripping Terrors
- When affected by Putrid Waters (dispel, magic), move away from other players so it can be safely dispelled.
- Avoid the impact location of Call of the Deep.
- Avoid the impact location of Eradication.
- Use repaired Cannons to deal damage to Viq'goth before leaving each platform.
Healing Notes
- Watch where players are running so you can keep everyone in range for healing.
- Dispel Putrid Waters quickly so it doesn't get out of control.

- Major: Putrid Waters (dispel, magic)
- Minor: Crushing Embrace

Trash Mobs
Below are notes for the trash mobs in Siege of Boralus. Siege of Boralus has a relatively open layout. The trash below is ordered as if you're killing the bosses in the order they appear above.
Entrance thru Sergeant Bainbridge
- Kul Tiran Halberd
- Don't stand in front of these to avoid Slobber Knocker.
- Kul Tiran Wavetender
- Interrupt Watertight Shell (dispel, purge) to avoid the reduced damage taken and extra damage dealt to the group.
- Kul Tiran Marksman
- Targets random players with Molten Slug.
- Kul Tiran Vanguard
- Don't stand in front of these to avoid Heavy Slash.
Sergeant Bainbridge thru Dread Captain Lockwood
- Irontide Marauder
- Dispel Cursed Slash (curse) when the stacks are around 3.
- Irontide Raider
- Targets random players with Iron Hook, pulling them into melee range.
- Don't stand near these during Savage Tempest.
- Ashvane Commander
- Targets random players with Trample, stunning all players in its path.
- Stun to interrupt Bolstering Shout to prevent the reduced damage taken.
- Irontide Powdershot
- Targets random players with Molten Slug.
- Irontide Waveshaper
- Interrupt Watertight Shell to avoid the reduced damage taken and extra damage dealt to the group.
- There is a small gauntlet with an Ashvane Spotter at the end.
- When moving through here, break line of sight while the area is being bombarded with bullets to avoid taking critical damage (I need to figure out if this is associated with a spell).
- Ashvane Spotter
- When affected by Sighted Artillery, move away from the group.
- Ashvane Deckhand
- Don't be in front of these to avoid Crimson Swipe.
- Ashvane Cannoneer
- Targets random players with Broadside, dealing damage to all players in the path.
- This area also includes , detailed above.
Dread Captain Lockwood thru Hadal Darkfathom
- There is a another gauntlet with more Ashvane Spotters at the end.
- When moving through here, break line of sight while the area is being bombarded with bullets to avoid taking critical damage (I need to figure out if this is associated with a spell).
- Bilge Rat Demolisher
- Don't be in front of these to avoid Crushing Slam.
- Try to break line of sight when Terrifying Roar is cast.
- Bilge Rat Tempest
- Interrupt Revitalizing Mist to prevent the healing.
- Bilge Rat Buccaneer
- During Banana Rampage, avoid the impact locations of the bananas and avoid walking over the bananas left behind.
- Bilge Rat Pillager
- Don't stand in front of these to avoid Vicious Slobber.
- Bilge Rat Cutthroat
- Stun to interrupt or dispel Rotting Wounds (disease) to prevent the reduced healing taken.
- Ashvane Sniper
- Ashvane Invader
- Dispel Stinging Venom (poison) when it reaches around 4 stacks.
- Ashvane Destroyer
- Dispel Ferocity (enrage).
- This area also includes Ashvane Spotters, Ashvane Commanders as detailed above.
Hadal Darkfathom thru Viq'goth
- Here you just need to make it through a short gauntlet, avoid the water spout impact locations until reaching the end.
Trash Debuffs to Track
- Major: Cursed Slash (dispel, curse), Rotting Wounds (dispel, disease), Stinging Venom (dispel, poison)
- Minor: Heavy Slash, Trample
- Enrages to Dispel: Ferocity
- Buffs to Purge: Watertight Shell, Bolstering Shout
