The Slave Pens, Healer Guide

Updated 11 months, 2 weeks ago for patch 2.5.2 by Preston. View the change log.

This page covers healer-focused strategies for The Slave Pens dungeon in The Burning Crusade. While it's tailored for healers, other roles may also find the information useful. If you have any suggestions or feedback, you can leave a comment below or tweet @PrestonDvorak.

This guide has been updated and maintained based on my own experiences as well as Dungeon Journal and combat log information. I'll continue to update it as-needed.

Below are guides for the bosses in The Slave Pens, including their abilities, healer notes, and addon settings.

Mennu the Betrayer Dungeon Journal Model Mennu the Betrayer

 Healing Notes

  • As long as the totems are kept under control this fight shouldn't be very healing intensive. The hardest totem will be the Corrupted Nova Totem, which is most likely to hit the tank and melee DPS.
 Debuffs to Track

Rokmar the Crackler Dungeon Journal Model Rokmar the Crackler

  • Interrupt Water Spit to prevent the light damage dealt to all players.
  • Soothe Frenzy to remove the increased attack speed and physical damage dealt effect.
  • Targets random players with Grievous Wound, dealing light damage over time until the affected player is healed to full health.
  • Targets random players with Ensnaring Moss, reducing melee attack speed and casting speed.

 Healing Notes

  • Keeping players near full health can make dealing with Grievous Wound easier.
 Debuffs to Track

Quagmirran Dungeon Journal Model Quagmirran

  • The tank will be dealing with the knock back from Uppercut.
  • Don't stand in front to avoid Cleave.
  • Don't stand in front when the boss turns to cast Acid Spray.
