
Temple of Atal'Hakkar, Healer Guide

This guide has been updated and maintained based on my own experiences as well as Dungeon Journal information. I'll continue to update it as-needed.
This dungeon is commonly referred to as Sunken Temple.
Best for players level 55-60.
Bosses
Below are guides for the bosses in Temple of Atal'Hakkar, including their abilities, healer notes, and addon settings.
Atal’alrion
Atal’alrion is summoned by activating idols around the edges of the pit. The idols must be activated in the following order: South, North, Southwest, Southeast, Northwest, Northeast.
- Knocks all players into the air, causing fall damage.
- Don't stand in the front of the boss to avoid
Sweeping Slam.
Healing Notes
- This boss has quite a bit of hit points making for a long encounter.
Debuffs to Track
- There are no particular debuffs to track.
Jammal'an the Prophet/Ogom the Wretched
Accessing Jammal'an requires killing six mini-bosses on balconies around the large center room, accessed from the second floor. The mini-bosses are: Loro, Gasher, Mijan, Zolo, Zul'lor, and Hukku.
- Jammal'an the Prophet
- Dispel
Hex of Jammal'an (curse) to remove the mind-control effect.
- Dispel
Shadow Word: Pain (magic) to prevent the damage over time.

Flamestrike (magic) to prevent the damage over time.

- Ogom the Wretched
- Interrupt
Shadow Bolt to prevent the damage dealt to the tank.

Healing Notes
- This fight can become difficult depending on which player is affected by
Hex of Jammal'an.
Debuffs to Track

Dreamscythe/Weaver
After killing Jammal'an, Dreamscythe and Weaver will spawn inside the large center room.
- Both bosses share the same abilities.
- Don't stand in front of the bosses to avoid their two abilities.
Corrosive Acid Breath, reduces armor and deals damage over time.
Wing Flap knocks affected players back a large distance.
Healing Notes
- The tank will be taking extra damage due to the reduced armor effect from
Corrosive Acid Breath, and may get knocked out of healing range if not positioned properly.
Debuffs to Track
- Major:

Morphaz/Hazzas
- Both bosses share the same abilities.
- Don't stand in front of the bosses to avoid their two abilities.
Corrosive Acid Breath, reduces armor and deals damage over time.
Wing Flap knocks affected players back a large distance.
Healing Notes
- The tank will be taking extra damage due to the reduced armor effect from
Corrosive Acid Breath, and may get knocked out of healing range if not positioned properly.
Debuffs to Track
- Major:

The Shade of Eranikus
- Summons any remaining Dragonkin inside the instance to his side.
- Deals extra damage to the tank with
Thrash.
- Stay at least 5-yards away from the boss to avoid
War Stomp.
- Don't stand in front of the boss to avoid
Corrosive Acid Breath.
- Targets the player with the second highest threat with
Deep Slumber, making them immune to all damage and healing, and preventing them from doing anything.
Healing Notes
- This is a very long encounter, any additional healing other players can do will help your mana pool.

Avatar of Hakkar
To summon the Avatar of Hakkar a player needs the Egg of Hakkar, obtained from the quest line starting with Screecher Spirits.
This is a two stage encounter, during which you'll fight against the Avatar's guardians, and then the Avatar itself.
Stage One - Hakkari Blood
This stage begins the encounter and ends when all Eternal Flames are extinguished.
- Kill Hakkari Bloodkeepers and use the
Hakkari Blood looted from them to extinguish the four Eternal Flames at the corners of the room.
Stage Two - The Avatar
This stage begins after all Eternal Flames are extinguished and ends when the Avatar of Hakkar is killed.
- The tank will be dealing with
Lash, possibly leading to threat generation issues.
- Purge
Cause Insanity from the affected player to remove the mind-control effect.
- If no Purge is available, crowd-control the affected player for the 6-second duration of the effect.
- Dispel
Curse of Tongues (curse) from casters to remove the reduced cast speed effect.
- Dispel
Shadow Word: Pain (magic) to prevent the damage over time.
Healing Notes
- The fight can become difficult depending on which player is affected by
Cause Insanity and your ability to Purge or crowd-control effectively.

Trash Mobs
Below are notes for the trash mobs in Temple of Atal'Hakkar. Temple of Atal'Hakkar has an open layout but most of the bosses only appear after defeating a different boss before them. The trash below is ordered as if you're going counter-clockwise and completing the bosses in the order they're listed above.
Entrance thru Atal’alrion
- Based on my memory and information I can find, there's no notable trash in this area. I'll update as-needed.
Atal’alrion thru Jammal'an the Prophet
- Atal'ai Corpse Eater
- Attempt to cannibalize nearby corpses when at low health.
- Atal'ai Deathwalker
- Interrupt or dispel
Fear (magic).
- Dispel
Shadow Word: Pain (magic) to prevent the damage over time.
- Turn into Atal'ai Deathwalker's Spirit upon death, which attempt to attack random players until they despawn after 10-seconds.
- Interrupt or dispel

Heal to prevent the healing.

Summon Atal'ai Skeleton to prevent an Atal'ai Skeleton from being summoned.
